Sturgeon Bay-"The Big City"

Sturgeon Bay is the largest city in Door County Wi.  As the largest community, it also serves as the county seat.

When you enter Door county, by land, you have no choice but to pass through this area. You will be entering from HWY 42 and either pass through the business center or bypass that by staying on the highway heading north.  Shortly outside the northern city limits, the highway divides HWY 57 goes up the Lake Michigan side of the county, while HWY42 will take you north through the center of the county.  If you would like to take a drive along the bay side of the peninsula, simply turn left at any of the county roads along the way.  All of these will eventually lead you the few miles to the east and bring you to Bay Shore Drive.  Which is a beautiful scenic route up the Green Bay coastline.

The Business district of Sturgeon Bay supplies a wide range of:
