Baileys Harbor The oldest community in Door County
Baileys harbor is the oldest community in Door County. It was named after Captain Bailey. He was a captain of a small fleet of ships. In 1848 he took shelter from a severe storm on Lake Michigan in a harbor which is now named after him.

Baileys Harbor is one of the most popular villages on the Peninsula. Of particular interest to both tourists and locals, is the 4th of July events that take place each year.
