FORESTVILLE DAM PARK

Located in the town.           
 
SIZE: 79 acres
 
This park has access to both the Ahnapee trail and the Ahnapee River. There are multiple forms of waterfowl in this area.

This pond was created in the 1800's when a dam was built to power a gristmill. There is still evidence of the dam.

This popular fishing spot has a launch for canoes and other small craft.

 

AHNAPEE TRAIL STATE TRAIL

Located between Algoma and Sturgeon Bay.
 
SIZE: 144 acres, 12 miles long
 
The Ahnapee trail used to be an old railroad bed.

Now, its crushed stone surface is a great platform for your personal exploration.

The Ahnapee Trail has water access to the Ahnapee River and Stony Creek
