Door County Wisconsin Brussels

Between Green Bay and Sturgeon Bay.

This little community and Namur (located on the curve before Brussels) have the largest Belgian communities in the country, as a result, Southern Door County is listed in the national register.

County C crosses Brussels and leads north to Little Sturgeon where there is a marina and resort. County C also travels south towards Kewaunee County.

Chaudoir's Dock Park is close by and has a boat launch where there is some of the best bass fishing in the midwest (view the Southern Door Map)

TORNADO NATIONAL PARK

Located in the township of Gardner

SIZE: 3 acres

In 1871 the town of Williamsonville suffered a devastating fire that killed 128 people. In 1927, Tornado Park was founded to commemorate the former town.

The name Tornado comes from the fact that the fire was so intense that it created a tornado of flames.This is a state highway wayside.

Located in the township of Union.

SIZE: 5 acres

Chaudoir's Dock Park is on Green Bay and has a breakwater and dock that protects the boat launch.

This is a great place to go fishing.

SUGAR CREEK PARK

This park is located in the township of Gardner.

SIZE: 40 acres

Sugar Creek Park is a largely undeveloped area. When they are running, this is one of the better places to catch smelt .
