CHAUDOIR'S DOCK PARK

          
Located in the township of Union.
 
SIZE: 5 acres
 
Chaudoir's Dock Park is on Green Bay and has a breakwater and dock that protects the boat launch.

This is a great place to go fishing.

SUGAR CREEK PARK

This park is located in the township of Gardner.
 
SIZE: 40 acres

Sugar Creek Park is a largely undeveloped area.

When they are running, this is one of the better places to catch smelt .

FORESTVILLE POND LAKE

 

Forestville Flowage Lake is a drainage lake that is 65 acres.
                       
FISH SPECIES: Northern Pike common, Pan fish common, Large Mouth Bass
common, Small Mouth Bass present, Exotic Species present.
 

POTAWATOMI STATE PARK

 
    
Potawatomi Park is located in the township of Nasewaupee. The entrance is at 3740 Park Dr. This park is on the outskirts os Sturgeon Bay.
 
SIZE: 1200 acres
 
This park was created in 1928 on an old limestone quarry that the government used to use to build break walls. The Government Bluff Quarry operated from 1835 until 1885.

One of the great attractions of this park is the 75 foot wooden observation tower that stands atop a 150 foot bluff. If you aren't afraid of heights and can climb stairs, you should really check this out!

There is a small ski hill and ,13 miles of cross country ski trails.

  STURGEON BAY YACHT HARBOR

SUNSET PARK

This large park is located on the outskirts of Sturgeon Bay on N. Third Ave.
 
SIZE: 600 acre
 
Sunset Park is one of the more popular parks in the county.

A lot of local events take place here, not the least of which is a great sunset.

Located next to the shipyard, you can practically stand underneath one of the largest operating cranes in the world.

There is also a duck pond, a frisbee golf course, and of course, plenty of space to play games.
 

Some of the resident ducks of sunset park waddle down to the water after a big summer storm.

 

 

SAWYER PARK

Located at Neenah and Oak St. in Sturgeon Bay.
 
SIZE: 10 acres
 
Sawyer Park is the staging ground for the annual Bass Tournament.

OLDE QUARRY PARK

The Park is located in the township of Sevastopol about 5 miles north of Sturgeon bay while traveling up Bay Shore Dr.
 
SIZE: 9 acres

The county used to quarry some of its limestone for building from this site. The rock was loaded onto barges and shipped out.

Now there are picnic tables and plenty of comfortable room to watch the sunset.

This is a great place to go shore fishing. The boat launch has 2 lanes.

FRANK E. MURPHY PARK

Located in the township of Egg Harbor on CTY G.
 
SIZE: 10 acres

Nice sand beach.

There is a large cement dock that you can to tie a boat to and also fish from.

FISH CREEK

 

 

 

 

At the Marina .

There are shower facilities. This is a really nice launch.

PENINSULA STATE PARK

Located in the township of Gibralter, the main entrance is in Fish Creek off of HWY 42 on Shore Rd.
 
SIZE: 3775 acres
 
This park was established in 1907 to protect the shoreline between Fish Creek and Ephraim. Visit the White Cedar nature Center to see programs and take tours that are presented by naturalists.

Nicolet Bay is the main beach, there is a bathhouse, picnicking, and concessions.

Peninsula State Park features access to Green Bay, Tennison Bay, Nicolet Bay, and Eagle Harbor.

LILY BAY COUNTY PARK

           
Located in the township of Sturgeon Bay off CTY T on E. Shore road.
 
SIZE: 2 acres
 
This Park is bordered by private property and serves as a Lake Michigan Access.

 

LAKESIDE TOWN PARK

  
Located in the town of Jacksonport.

SIZE: 3 acres

Stop off on your way up the county and enjoy the view of the lake from benches along the sandy beach. Every May there is a festival in Jacksonport that is held here.

 

 

 

 

CLARKS LAKE

Clarks Lake is an 868 acre drainage lake.
As a result of its shallow depth, it freezes over, early in the season.

Local ice boaters use it as their playground (until the first big snow).

FISH SPECIES: Northern Pike common, Walleye common, Large Mouth Bass present, Small Mouth Bass common, Pan fish common, Trout present, Exotic species present

MUD LAKE

This is a drainage lake that is 155 acres.

Public access is from a walk in trail located at the mouth of Reibolts Creek in the Mud Lake Wildlife Sanctuary.

FISH SPECIES: Small Mouth Bass present.

BAILEYS HARBOR YACHT CLUB

This is a drainage lake that is 1123 acres.

Most people fish from the causeway on CTY E.
           
FISH SPECIES: Pan fish common, Northern Pike present, Walleye common, Large Mouth Bass present, Small Mouth Bass common, Exotic species present.

 

Europe Lake is seepage lake that is 273 acres.
 
FISH SPECIES: Northern Pike common, Walleye common, Large Mouth Bass common , Small Mouth Bass common, Pan fish common

      
NORTH BAY

Take CTY ZZ out of Sister Bay , turn south onto N. Bay road
until you get to Marshall Point Rd. Take the southerly route.

The water is so low that this is non functional!

ROWLEYS BAY

Take CTY ZZ out of Sister Bay ; Follow that into the Wagon Trail Campground.

There is one boat launch.

GILLS ROCK

Hedgehog Harbor     

Garret Bay . This launch is no longer in existence. The dock has been pulled out and the water level is below the end of what used to be a
launch.

WASHINGTON ISLAND

In Detroit Harbor

Boat Launch located at the end of North Bay Rd.
           

This is a seepage lake that is 347 acres. Public access is from a walking trail.
 
FISH SPECIES: Northern Pike common, Large Mouth Bass common,

Small Mouth Bass present, Bluegill.
